Keep using the same card by adding stored amounts as needed.
Use Suica for JR and other train lines, subways, and busses in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Just touch the card to the reader at the ticket gate, and the fare is automatically deducted.
Use Suica for shopping at places with this logo in addition to rail travel.

Adding stored amounts
You can add stored amounts to your Suica card at automatic ticket machines and fare adjustment machines with a (Suica logo).
Add stored amounts over and over in specific increments. For ticket machines, starting with a 500 yen minimum, add amounts of 500 yen, 1,000 yen, 2,000 yen, 3,000 yen, 5,000 yen, or 10,000 yen. For fare adjustment machines, starting with a 500 yen minimum, add amounts of 500 yen, 1,000 yen, 2,000 yen, 3,000 yen, 5,000 yen, or 10,000 yen. In both cases, the maximum is 20,000 yen.
* Stored amounts can be added at some stores.
Use Suica at Shops Too
Stored amounts added to a Suica card can be used at convenience stores, restaurants, and other shops as well as vending machines, coin lockers, taxis, and parking lots.

The number of places is gradually increasing.
